Talking Book Program

Talking Book Program :: ForSight Vision Center Client Services

The National Library Service (NLS) for the Blind and Physically Handicapped has a free service, which offers books and periodicals in braille or recorded on cassette tapes.

Through a national network of cooperating libraries, NLS administers a free library program of braille and audio materials circulated to eligible borrowers in the United States by postage-free mail. These items are on loan to anyone whose blindness or physical disability prevents them from reading printed materials.

Here at the Forsight Vision Center (York, PA), through our Client Services, we can help you become enrolled in this program as well as provide you with the special cassette player needed to play the recordings.
